Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

3 km on foot and 18 km pedaling yesterday.
I had a bit of an energy burst this afternoon, and stayed busy enough throughout the day, that I missed the morning session of floor exercises.
I was in love with the bike as soon as I was able to ride, and my dad told me he was the same. In my 20s and early thirties I was a runner/cyclist/softballer/frisbee head. My activity level tailed off after that. At the moment I'm reduced to walking, with the occasional ride.
Sad!

Does it have the big V4?

It's not a lot bigger than the battery.

I actually looked at plane tickets to Scottsbluff. Who knows how many days it would take me to drive that thing down here though.

More like drive it for a bit, then wait for a tow truck, then rent a car to drive home

I was in Dallas with my son yesterday, and driving on a road thru Highland Park. In front of us at a light was a Bentley Coupe. In front of that was a $1 million Ferrari SF90 Stradale. I was the peasant driving a Jeep.

A guy I worked with buys and sells old cars all over the country. He said there are services that will inspect the car for you and you can get a car shipped more reasonably if you are willing to wait for a carrier to be in the area, which could take weeks or even months.
He also has a friend with a diesel pick up and a car trailer and sometimes they buy a car together and go get it.

The new coffee grinder showed up today, but too late for more shots of espresso. I had wanted either a silver or black model, but they were offering a discount on red, so that's what I'd ordered (the colored decal is supposedly easy to remove, leaving you with the natural aluminum finish). I was pleasantly surprised, then, when I opened the box and pulled out a black grinder.

I may just get out of bed at 5:30 tomorrow to put it through its paces.

I'm sure it's good, but I know it can't top this hotel room coffee.

What kind of gas do you put in those old cars? Won't the new fangled stuff burn the valves?
