Sorry to offend.
No offense. It harks back to last year's Tanner's Orchard ride near Peoria, when someone I won't name (Dale) was a tad heavy on the weather updates, and then we started updating the weather a lot more than made sense....and it grew legs. Even now, we sometimes mention the weather forecast for places we're not going to visit at times for which we have no intentions of being awake.

Oh, well, so long as it's Dale, and not me. Truly think I overdo it sometimes as well. Really wanted to go this year, but next year I'll have my necessary Italian Eroica Steed finished and ready to roll the Tannerorica!

Tanneroica?
I wonder if that's trademarked yet??
The rules for what bikes can be ridden will be more lax than the actual Eroica rides, though.
Fewer gravel roads too.

I'd get that name used in print a few times in context, just to be safe, Steeelbikeguy

Beats Cideroica, and the Doughnutland 50, alternative choices.

^^^^^ Hi Tom, Dale here. Nice to see you here in the lunatic asylum. You'll fit right in with the other inmates.

I'd rather not think too much about that....

although, a flat rear tire sure beats a flat front tire when trying to keep things under control.
Also, those Conti Gatorskins fit very tight! Not much worse than riding a flat tubular.

In retrospect... between the layers of wet leaves and scattered branches on the road, a flat rear tire might have been the least of the threats to staying upright!
