got the snow tires on the Jeep just in time Friday for another blizzard ride Monday Christmas morning. 7" & coming down in blizzard-like white-out conditions again! did a test run around the neighborhood before loading the family. no big deal when you're hooked up. passed only 6 highway wrecks of 1-3 vehicles ea. (including Subarus) thru the worst of it. no rollovers, nothing life threatening. plenty of 1st responders but also plenty of ppl driving waaaay too fast. route 495 in MA was NOT plowed & didn't see any evidence of salting at 9am

Beautiful country zukahn1. I was watching an episode of the Gold Rush and saw them pillaging your hills. I'm guessing that isn't part of your ride terrain.
What??? Only 2 wheels?

I'm sure glad you folks are posting some nice pics, because that's all the riding I'll be doing outdoors for a few months. Our roads still have ice coverings. When I woke up this morning both Accuweather and the US Weather Service (weather.gov) were saying the temperature here was -7F. That's -22C.

Fabulous bike! I knew someone would snap it up. I wanted to, but the finances just weren't there. I'm glad it went to a good home.

As pretty as they come. imho
edit: Nice pic btw. It's -13 degrees here atm and we have a -32 degree wind chill. It's tricky to get out to the car so I can go spin at the YMCA. Frightfully cold, even for this state.

Thanks Brent! It turned out to be in better shape then I thought it would be. I removed the cracked fenders and have another pair that matches pretty well. I'm going to put some fatter tires on and ride some before deciding whether to restore. The chrome around the fork is the worst, so maybe just start with restoring the fork.

Thanks!!!!
My wife loves that bike.
She's so proud of it.
We'll be out your way (kind of) when we come out to ride the C & O Canal way with her relatives from D.C.
After that, we'll visit my wife's cousin in Union, NJ. She'll have the MAP for that trip as well and perhaps I'll have mine by that time.
2018 is going to be a very active riding year for us.

A quick 25 for my last ride of 2017. Feet were freezing on the homeward leg; if I'm going to carry on riding into January I'll be needing some booties!

Picked up a new bike, and with the Foothills Trail nearby, took a good ride with river crossings of the Carbon River, downhill from the Carbon Glacier, near Mt. Rainier.
