I know about the team. I'm talking about the sponsor. You should read the article in today's Wall Street Journal regarding cycling team sponsorships. Europecar is getting results way beyond their expectations from this year's Tour.

AS didn't ride the Tour de Suisse with the intent of winning, he rode it to prep for the Tour de France. So, it's not necessarily a valid indicator of Friday's ITT.

Ok.. sorry.. As for the article, is it the one labeled "Sponsors race for TV exposure"?

Didn't he have to switch to his road bike in that TT?

Yes. He dropped his chain and had to switch to his road bike.

Seems silly to try to use it for comparisons. I guess we'll have to wait the 9 hours.

That happened in the prologue. The long TT was the last stage (Stage 9).

Did anyone ever hear what was the matter with Evan's bike yesterday? At the time, it looked to me more like it could be a problem with the rider, although he certainly fought back and finished strong enough to stay in contention.

Apparently his rear wheel was hitting a chainstay. it is thought he either had a broken spoke or a cracked frame.

Wow. Thanks. That would be quite a bummer, but it all worked out pretty well considering his group caught back on in time for start of Alp de Huez.
