That is to keep fingers out of spokes. These are pretty neat for little ones. We had one for a while. I saved the axle and wheels for a future trailer build. I have to get to that someday.

The ad's not wacky, but look at the drive side pedal eye. Do my eyes deceive me, or is it off-center?

Might as well post a size large enough for some of us to see.

I don't think the hole actually is off-center.

What appears to be off-center is the polishing/finishing of the edge of the crank.

Sorry. I linked to the ebay image. I didn't think it would be any larger than that.

So this is an example of a single forging used for multiple lengths? The Compass/Rene Herse peeps make a point of telling you each length gets its own forging.

There are a couple things wrong here. Can you guess what they are?

https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/bo...843031855.html

4 kids bikes - $30

I have 4 kids bikes that are all missing something they are flat mostly. I'm asking $7 each or $30 for all 4.

Am I missing something. Is Del Rome and the vintage stem shifters the stuff of bicycle collector dreams? $650 for a rare classic!??? Sorry, I need to vent or get edjumicated.

A TRUE COLLECTORS DREAM!!! Impossible to find DEL ROMI 1970s Steel road bicycle. Made in Japan, in stunning Original condition. See Photos.

No, true collectors dream of turkey levers, steel rims, cheap 3-bolt cottered cranks, quilted vinyl saddles set as far forward as possible, handlebars turned almost to the wino position, and of course, "THUNDER BIRD" derailleurs. Yeah, this one checks all the boxes.

Now where are my red-white-blue striped wrist sweat bands?.....

Exactly. That and why would you pay $30 for 4 bikes if they are $7 each? How does this guy put his pants on in the morning?
