Hit my first 500 mile month ever. Very proud of myself. Looking back over my records I hit 498 in June of '04 though... wonder why I didn't do the extra 2 to hit 500? I can't remember. Oh well, back on the path to success. I don't know if I'm going to try to hit 500 again next month. We'll see I guess.

Well I actually hit 503 miles yesterday but waited for today's ride with son in law and 5 year old grand son to post. Grand son was hanging on to a tag along, so son in laws young legs gave me quite a work out in 90 degree heat. I wrap up July at 518 miles. First back to back 500 mile months for me. Like to make it a triple; but with a vacation in August and need to move aunt into assisted living in next 3 weeks, I'd be lucky to log 300 miles. Not to mention it's been quite a chore to log 500 miles with all my other commitments and this summer heat and humidity. Seems like July hit 90 degrees every day. My bike needs A/C.

710 Miles for me. A record for July. However, I was shooting for 750+ Miles. I had a broken shift cable, one or two bad nights of sleep, and two flats. I am at 3970 miles for the year. I think I am ahead of last year. Good luck in August.

This thread appears to be dieing. As per my last post, I didn't expect to reach 500 miles in August. Logged just 19 miles during vacation. Can't believe I got to the Lehigh Gouge Trail and only rode 2 miles out and back. Anyway I did 23 miles today (Tuesday), to get my total miles for August to 198. So with family responsibilities and hurricanes behind me, I will rest the legs on the 31st and start Sept 1 to rack up another 500 mile month. Also think I'll drive myself back to the Lehigh Gouge Trail at Jim Thorpe, PA and ride the entire 26 miles, out and back, for 52 miles.

Well I got back on the bike Aug 17 for the first time since getting hit by the car June 24th, Managed 200.1 miles over 8 rides. Shooting for 500 + again in September. I was in track for 650-700 in June before the accident took me out.

959 miles for August, a bit short of last month's effort, but I'll take it. Rode my 12th century for the year last weekend, and hopefully will be able to put another one in for a bakers dozen this weekend.

Exactly 500 miles. I am hoping to still be able to meet that goal for the next few months. I'm working 2nd shift now.

Just got over 300 miles with today's ride. Six days left, three of them are booked solid with non biking stuff. Not looking good for even 400 miles this month. May be if I didn't have 6 rain outs. Just too much interference from my other life cutting into bike time. I gotta retire.......O' wait, I am.

Looks like I'm the last one standing here. More rain with flooding, my basement included. Managed 15 more miles and wrap up the month at 315. Way short of 500. Pretty sure I will not make 500 in October either, so I'm bowing out till next spring.

I just made it with 505 miles. I was on a pace to get about 600-650 miles...until my seatpost broke. My bike and I lost about a week healing.
