I determined that my bikes have a tan sidewall tire deficiency, after coming to the self-realization that I ogle every bike I see sporting them. Wanted to upgrade the stock tires on my Roubaix, heard that Turbo Cottons are a bit fragile and expensive, so ordered some Vittoria Corsa G+ clinchers from Merlin. Excited to try Vittorias for the first time.

I haven't tried the Corsa G+ tires, but I bet they're great. Vittoria makes tires every bit as good as the other best companies.

Cateye BM-45 mirror. Never thought I'd be so stoked about putting a mirror on a road bike 
but this inexpensive, lightweight, small mirror works amazingly well for keeping an eye out behind you and doesn't look ridiculous or get in the way. Getting another one for both bikes now.

Getting another one for both bikes now.I usually have a mirror on my helmet and will probably continue using it (old C2 neck injury hinders my flexibility and it's hard to look over my shoulder). But when I'm in the drops I need to crane my neck up and sometimes get out of the drops to look behind me. The bar end mirror looks like it might work well to supplement the helmet mirror.

Giro Zero CS gloves. Minimalist, no padding, just a thin microfiber palm patch. No straps. The pocket/pouch looking doodads on the middle and ring fingers are to help pull off the gloves. They're good. Just enough to protect the palms and knuckles from scrapes.
Didn't really need or want another pair of gloves but the LBS discounted the price on the hi-vis yellow set, so what the heck.
I needed gloves when I first resumed cycling in 2015, but now don't really need them for riding comfort on the road bike. Probably a combination of comfortable bar wrap, getting into better shape, and tweaking the bit fit so there's less weight on my hands. But now my old pair of padded gloves annoy me a little and don't feel quite right. I preferred my unpadded Bontrager Thermal RXL gloves most of the time.

Gloves might be a little more aero without the Velcro straps. That might matter to some cyclists. I just liked the Giro Zero CS because they were comfortable and didn't bind the web between my thumb and forefinger. And there's some protection from chafed skin.
