But watch out- The ultimate Pie of blueberry takes some working up to. Get in training now before attempting a whole slice of that one. Start on something more gentle initially and work up to it.

This ride will be hard for some so get in training now- Some of you have a long way to catch up to the experts.

And hate to say it but meat pies don't count- Steak and Kidney or Chicken and mushroom may be fine for a midday snack but not for this event--

And that goes for Pizza aswell.
I must say by the pictures you sure know you pie.

Why don't you take some pie with you and have a pie-picnic? That's what I'm planning to do.

It turns out the 18th is primary election day here. I'm still planning on the ride but it is going to require extra caution because many of the polling places have been consolidated to save costs and this means there are going to be a lot of distracted drivers out there looking for their new polling place ... I already voted absentee.

I'm only 48 but my pie-buds are well-developed for my age, so if it's OK with you all, I'd like to join in on the 18th. Question for DnvrFox...do you have any particular recommendations for Denver area pie emporiums?

Sadly, the Parker area is pie deficient, so I will find myself at our local Village Inn with berry pie, which includes blueberries, and a dash of ice cream on top.

There's a place in Indialantic by the beach called the Blueberry Muffin.

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95...fininnards.jpg

They have freshbaked blueberry muffins - this is a half devoured one

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95...rypancakes.jpg

And the world's bestest blueberry pancakes just chock full of blueberries

Unfortunately no pie - if I eat the blueberry pancakes smothered in blueberry syrup would that count?
