Poking thru old slides last night. I know I've already shown The Plastic Pig, but this is a better photo than what I've previously shown.

1970 LT-1 Corvette.

My favorite year/model! The ultimate post-fuelie smallblock, and iconic egg crate treatment of the "brake vents" (which was continued through 1972, IIRC). Please tell me it's a 4-speed (or was automatic N/A... even better!).

Badass for certain. One could not get an auto with the LT-1. Mine does have a radio, LOL, some were ordered sans radio. It leaves in a week or two (so I've been promised) to get sorted out and put back on the road. The Plastic Pig has not been on the road in a long time. The night of my first date with my wife, after leaving her apartment, I was stopped on the Mass Turnpike at 3AM, at a very, very great rate of speed (arrestable, probably). Long story, but I just got a warning for doing 64 in a 55 zone. The trooper had an L88. We bonded

I don't have any pics of it at the moment, but I have a '74 Porsche 911S Targa that I have been trying to TLC back to acceptable condition for a while. I bought it cheap, it runs like stink but looked like dreck. Unfortunately, retirement, several moves, and family emergencies (my son was nearly killed in an accident last year) has put it on hold, and I will probably end up having to part with it. A really fun car , but definitely not a poor man's hobby...a windshield wiper switch costs over $250!

This is my 1937 Chrysler Royal that Grandpa bought it for $200 in 1956. It has 35,000 miles on it and is nearly all original (it was gun-metal gray when new).

'56 Chevy I owned back in college.

Straight 6, three on the tree, no heat.

Fun car and simple to work on.

Long gone...

Necro-post.....

I guess all my motorized vehicles are C&V. Only one bought as such.

1985 Ford F-250 diesel, purchased in 2011, so I guess it was C&V when purchased:

4-speed, manual 4x4, mechanical fuel injection, NO sensors NO electronics. Rattle-can black

1996 Saturn SW2, bought in 1998. Twin cam, 5-speed. I don't drive it anymore:

This was shot a year AFTER it survived a crash with a deer on the left side. Except for the windshield, everything you see here was either fixed or installed by me in my gravel driveway in November 2006.

My "daily" (more like 3-4 times a year...) driver - 1995 F-250 PowerStroke diesel - 5-speed, manual 4x4, goes anywhere:

Purchased in 2009, so it's also "become" C&V under my stewardship. Been to FL (twice), CA, CO, MI and points between. I know I have a better pic somewhere, but I could find this one....

So they were still using the Kaiser marque as late as '67? Or was Kaiser still its own company that late in history? I was quite young then.....

*(My favorite car name / song quote is from a Corvette ad from several years ago. The usual sexy pic of the car, with a big-letter caption saying "Because they don't write songs about Volvos".)

Here is my ****box 1983 Volvo 245 turbo with a manual transmission. Lots of patina. I drive a hand me down 2003 MB wagon at the moment, but the Volvo still starts up and drives, which is every 6 months or so.
She has 370,000 miles on here.

I also have a 1948 Chevy 5 window in need of some love, a 1972 BMW R60/5 toastertank and a 1977 BMW R100/S. The toastertank needs a speedo unit rebuild and the R100/S needs a tank. I drove the 48 in highschool and the bikes I bought in my 20’s.

a work in progress. Owned since new in May of 1990. Kid abused. Added 3 1/2" lift a year or two ago. Runs good as new with 221k miles. Actually better mileage with mods, like injectors and SS Borla header to tail pipe.

My 87 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I've only had this one for about 5 years, although I did own a similar 4Runner in the 80's.

My wife's 87 924S, we bought it new.

I like those Volvo wagons. I had a 65 122S before. Sadly I have no pics of my old Volvo but it was the same color, etc as this one

Another I miss was my 67 Jeep Wagoneer.

My current C&V's would be my wife's 89 5.0 GT Mustang and my 70 Camaro.

I've owned a lot of 'C&V' cars over the years. Currently I have a 1963 series 2 Sunbeam Alpine. It is in need of brake work, electrical (of course), and sorting of what put it in the garage: an intermittent low oil pressure problem. It's discouraging and so I work on bikes.
