Yes, l read that fall of 2015 when I was driving through with the motor home. They are continually fund raising. I did get a photo of me in front of Whinney the Pooh, in White River this trip. This damp has put a damper on my laptop use, no charging at this Tim Horton's. I don't believe it.

Once you have passed the bruce peninsula, make sure you enjoy the very nice hilly landscape south of Meaford and Collingwood (Grey County)!

The ferry starts in May. I'm going around the Georgian Bay. French river this eve, tiny motel no Internet in the rooms. Drying out the 15lbs of water me and my gear sucked up!
Have to stand outside of the closed restaurant to link my tablet.
Nicer forecast above freezing overnight, and a tail wind all day tomorrow.

I did today.
Huge?
A relative statement. I was 16 when the Americans celebrated their Bi-Centennial, lots of flags then.
Hope this one makes the complete trip to Canada's "150th" on Parliament hill.

A few photo's.
My flag, ha-ha.
Lots of empty roads,
A moose holding a hunter,
Velarution bike shop in Sault Ste Marie, Highly recommend a stop. Their campsite in the back for cycle tourists. I changed to my second chain (waxed this year).
A dairy with a nice Ice Cream Parlor in the front.
A public service notice.
Echo Bay home of the artist that created the Canadian Loonie, it is said to be worth 20 times that of Sudbury's Big Nickle.
Bike Forums, photo of your bike with wall art. I had to take a photo.
Hope that interests a few.

Thank-you.
Tomorrow is forecast rain. I have been riding fairly hard, and got wet a few times (twice today). Kick around town stay dry, have a lunch then post a few photos tomorrow.
First time I have ever seen wild turkey's was today. Every where I go people stop and chat with me, nice. Hearing more encouraging things about the bike trails and infrastructure in Quebec. I quite look forward to it.
Well I have a nice quiet site picked out for tonight.
Chat tomorrow,

As promised, a few photo's.
Ask the locals where to camp, hell across the street up on the playground hill.(overturned sandbox equipment). Overlooking the scenic Trans-Canada!
Lightening the load, my old work boots after I was done using them as warm alternate footwear.
Eleven days into my tour, and winter tires are suggested, hmm?
A winding hiway #13, turned out to be a nice ride (if you like hills)
My first real life experience with wild Turkey's
A row of trees I hid under as the second rain shower hit me yesterday (25 min).
An old church site, stopped and walked about. Found a few headstones, of the Colonists dated from the Dominion of Canada (pre 1867).
Forecast rain all afternoon. Rest day (pizza).

A pretty young lady, all excited to talk to a real cycle tourist. As her and her husband are traveling to Vancouver where he will cycle across Canada (supported, she will follow in the motorhome). They are from Germany.
People everywhere are talking with me. Heck I just meet a fella (Craig) we spoke for 45min, about everything, really! Ha-ha.

Just a few photo's, again.
An example of how people just engage in conversation. I'm talking with two nice ladies, then three more stop as they overheard us. I asked if I could take a selfie. Such friendly folks here in southern Ontario.
The rain I rode through trying to get to my first hosted warm showers place. He ultimately rescued me. Great evening of conversation, etc.
Some heavy iron, and a real Spitfire above a surplus outlet.
Ingersoll, my destination for the first leg of the summer.
My bike will get a rub of love, two nights in a great bed. And best of all today is calm, and very warm. A family BBQ, a visiting.
Hope others are soon out on their tours.

A few more photo's.
Not to be specific to "My" trip, but more to inspire others to tour. The things you get to experience at our speed, etc.
A real cannon, one of two in front of a local High School,
A home made lawn roller, had to stop and talk to the creator.
Farm art,
My first Rail-Trail, 10km long. Included a bench and flowers in memory of a 26yr old young man over looking a nature pond.
I like big trees, this is where I dipped my wheels in Lake Eire.
Inside an (1867) schoolhouse/museum. The ladies were great let me make my pourage in their kitchen, and chat for an hour as the forecast rain passed (11a.m.)
My first encounter with other cycle tourist. Two young men from France. Left Quebec city April 6th, 18 months on tour, ending in Argentina.
I have found bits of the Trans-Canada trail system, this along the canals here in the Niagara region.
Well soon leaving a warm showers host's house. Today meander past the Falls, not much mileage, but lots of tourism.

What day will you be coming through Oakville? If it's today. I'll be working at Racer Sportif 151 Robinson St. It's one block south of Lakeshore just east of navy st.
If you want to look at expensive bikes and gear, that's the place.
The bridge on lakeshore is closed just west of Navy, so you'll have to detour one block north.
If it's Tomorrow or Friday, maybe we could meet up and I'll do a few miles with you.
