Yes. No riding today. 30s. Rain. Wind. Doesn't get much worse.

I woke up to find a section of my siding flapping around in the wind. It was so much fun getting up on a ladder in the cold rain to fix it before it would blow away.

I'd love to join, even looked up the price of a return ticket from Amsterdam. But no, not happening ...

Enjoy the ride!

I'm out in Crystal Lake visiting my dad today. Tons of small/medium sizes branches down in his yard. Butt-ass cold and damp too.

Haven't been sick in a decade, but time got me big. Been down for nearly a week. Work or any projects are slooow going to none. Passed it onto my wife and that's more worrisome.

Surely wouldn't want to miss but wisely should remain quarantined.

shoot... that bites!
Hope you are feeling better by the time the weather turns pleasant.... should only be a few more weeks, right?

Steve in rainy Peoria (but I did do 26 miles in the wind this morning)

I'm not ruling it out but since we're still in the middle of winter, half way through April, I haven't been on a bike yet. Plus I have to be up at 2:30 to open my warehouse at 5:00. It would be a rough day.

Its cold, raining, with massive wind. The even bigger letdown is that it is too cold to enjoy working on bikes in my garage as well.

Seems the weather won't suck. I just completed a shakedown ride on the "new" bike. All is good except the rear caliper sticks randomly. But that won't stop me.

Currently at 6:40, it is 43F, light wind from the east and overcast to keep that pesky sun out of your eyes. You're welcome. Quite possibly some of the best weather we have had for this ride. Usually like last weekend.

We were doing our best to show up, neither of us have been outside on a bike this year. Ugh!!! We just can't do it. Although we can't physically be there for the ride, our hearts are and we are there in spirit. Have a great ride everyone - maybe we can make the next one.

Thank you David for setting this ride up. The weather was pretty nice for April with not a lot of wind like we usually get. The bikes were sweet, the riders all very nice and lunch was very good. I had a great time. Here are a few pictures I took at the half way point stop. I know others got video and probably much better photo`s. IMG_1730.jpg

This year the the French bikes had ample representation with two PX 10`s on hand. Tubular`s also dominated the field. There was also a steel wheeled Schwinn Le Tour with a very strong rider. I love that color. A beautiful Trek and a modern gorgeous touring bike rounded out the field. A few more pictures to share.

Wished to have been well enough to join but not quite ready for any ride.

As usual, iab appears with something 'very' vintage and challenging. Tell us more!

You were missed bro. I hope you feel better soon. We need to go for a ride. Chasing you is good exercise. As you can see by the pictures, I have about 10 lbs in my gut I need to lose. Winter!

As noted, it was a pleasant and somewhat typical April day for a bike ride. It wasn't raining or snowing, and the wind wasn't blowing to any noticeable degree, so it was perfect!

Steve W. has shown his Ochsner in a different thread, so I won't take up space with more photos of its chromed wonderfulness. A quick shot of Steve as we gathered for the ride....

Mr. iab brought his very vintage Frejus single speed. Lots of character and patina, and really novel! I think he was estimating that it is from the 1920's or so.

Dan's Clockwork rando bike was quite impressive! Lots of great custom details.

(to be continued...)
