The red tundra a few posts up is s great reminder to check your ball joints regularly.

I had that happen while driving, but at only 25 mph, thankfully. Scary. Never again.

Married once to a southern English, have not visited the area in a while.

Closer than I ever imagined. But not exactly the Salisbury Plain.

saves an airfare.

Shirley,...a PNW has already posted this location.

hint for nearby reference

What in Sam Hill?!

Nice juxtaposition of wind turbines with stonework. (concrete?)

I wasn't on a bike at the time, but I did see this a few years back:

Fairly sure the original Parthenon sculptures are still in the British Museum though.

Winter seems to have arrived in quite a bit of the USA in the last few days! Here in my part of Illinois, we got 5 or 6 inches of very heavy wet snow. It was sticking to the trees, making it look scenic, but the pine trees were struggling under the weight of the snow. Still, the conditions were fine for a bike ride today. Some severely cold weather is coming soon, though!

There is a Mexican bakery along the bike route in the area north of downtown Peoria, and I only recently noticed the mural on the side of the building.
Specifically, I noticed that it features a woman riding a bike!
Naturally, this seemed like a photo that demanded to be taken. Today was a nice day, and I remembered to do it before I rode past...

It was a great day for a ride, especially for late February! Temperatures above 70F! Weird and wrong, but a great day for a ride.
