Flat Spotted Rim

Walked into the LBS with flat rim. Walked out 20 minutes later with round rim. Took a little work, but he did a great job. $20. I'll take it. It was my first time in that particular shop. I'll be back.

I'll try my best. Please, pardon any ignorance for proper names.
He worked back and forth between a truing stand, some sort of roller "rim massaging" contraption and the rim straightener pictured above. He was very methodical. It was like watching a master blacksmith work his magic.
I perceived that the purpose of the massager was to work or heat up the metal to allow him to work the rim into place without doing further damage.
I am quite pleased with the result.
