Did manage to ride to the gym (biceps and hamstrings, even with a torn tendon in my right hand) and back this morning.

Got in a pre-feast 21.5 miler. Did a couple of Threshold Intervals to increase the calorie burn. I don't think I created enough of a deficit to compensate for the amount I consumed

Did a nice 55 mile, Black Friday ride with my friend Frank D in 17-21 mph winds. Had to burn off all the turkey I ate yesterday at the daughter's house. Hoping tomorrow's winds won't be as strong for the ride I have planned.

Went for a ride today on my Azuki 3 speed. Waited till it was above freezing and rode a favorite route along the Willamette River path in Eugene. Lots of leaves on path, but not many people. Ended up at Armitage Park on the Mckenzie river and had lunch. Made some English breakfast tea and ate my turkey and cheese sandwich.. About 20 miles, 2 hours with lunch time added in. Tim

Looks as if these strong winds and gusts we've been having down here aren't going to let up anytime soon. Got in a very gusty, 37 solo miles this morning.

First ride in 8 days (only 6 the past 32 days). 15.2 on the trike A nice, sunny 28°. Felt good to get out and not too strenuous on the old joints n' bones. All bundled up in hoodie, leather jacket, and camo hunting mittens I probably looked like Smokey the Bear.

Catching up:
Thanksgiving Day, 27.5, nice weather out, a bit windy
Friday, 27.5 again, cloudy all day, but unseasonably warm
Saturday, 16.5 miles, still very warm here, wanted to do just a quicker ride today.

Earlier this afternoon, my sister and I went for a ...very slow... 10.22 mile ride in 1 hr 3 min. She has one of those 7-speed "townie bikes", as she calls it. My wife didn't want to ride, and my brother-in-law stayed along the river and went fishing.

40 miles with my buddies, Lou and Frank, this morning. Wind wasn't very strong, for a change, so it made for a good ride. Kurt Searvogel is still riding at the park and I was going to stop and say hello, but he was on his lunch break and I'm sure he didn't want to stop and chit chat considering he had about 8 more hours to ride today.

Put on the wrist braces and braved the cold (26°) for 14.4 on the Allez. I passed this (see photo) near the Marina on the way to the Frozen River Bike Path (see other photo).

My wife's birthday was today so I volunteered to do a birthday ride for her. She's a little younger than me so actually added some miles.

Got out this morning for a 34.5 miler on the hybrid, slooow at 15.5 mph avg.
30º and some freezing rain early in the a.m. made for a few slick spots.

15 miles this afternoon on my long wheelbase 'bent. Mid-forties and dry.
Then, later, five miles on the Screamer with my favorite stoker. Low-forties by then.

Yesterday I went back to my regular 27.5 mile route, just spinning the crank for some miles this time.

Got in 60 miles with Kurt yesterday at the FW's. Amazingly, he seems to be getting stronger as the end approaches. Also, I wouldn't worry about stopping by while he's at the van to say hello. Kurt enjoys meeting fellow cyclists.

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll make it up that flat hill It's amazing how out-of-shape you get in two weeks.17 very cold (22°) miles on the Sirrus, but a nice Sloppy Joe lunch at the end. I was packing some extra weight (not just Thanksgiving dinner) in all the layers of clothing I wore. But it was sunny.

First ride in four days after a lot of rain. Just loafed along my usual rural route for about 10 miles. Enjoyable at around 45 degrees but I can tell I'll need my red woolen long johns or polypropylene winter underwear soon.

Monday afternoon, 25.5 miles, taking advantage of some nice weather ahead of the Wednesday morning cold front, due through here.

I got to chit chat with him on this morning's ride for about 10 minutes while he had stopped to repair a flat. He told me to stop and chat anytime I saw him there. I told him about Hunters Green so he could add 8 miles to Flatwoods and not have to do the loop so many times. I ride in Hunters Green every day and it is a very nice ride and you can go as fast or as slow as you want to.

This morning's ride was going to be 45 miles but while I was chatting with Tarzan, a friend of mine pulled up and said she just got there so we did 37 miles together. Hadn't seen her in a while so our ride was pretty much a casual, chit-chat ride. Very enjoyable.

14 miles on a cool (36) breezy day. One of those end of the season rides, slow and leisurely.

Amen, Greybeard, after watching the weather and news this evening, I was amazed at how much snow and ice is hitting them these last 2 storms, and it looks like another is setting up.

Another 25.69 miles this afternoon, supposed to be some rain and a cold frint moving through our area, SE U.S. early tomorrow morning (cold is relative, we aren't even looking at a frost.)

Sunny and 40F. This is the first time I've ever ridden a bike in December. A pleasant hour on the bike paths with only one other bike sighted.

About 11 miles this evening, a meandering partly rural route including pavement, gravel and fields, checking out the swollen creeks after recent rains. Just shooting to ride about 90 minutes, rather than a specific distance. Knee is kinda sore and bruised, but not from riding - keep bashing it into a wooden chest in the dark. Gotta move that dang thing or attach something to soften the sharp edges and corners.

Sure did. My usual 16 mile ride early in the morning before I go to work. A little warmer today in the west San Fernando Valley. In the mid-40s.
