Dang, those were almost like doing the rides again myself! Too bad you don't have footage of the bike race along our route on the Assenmacher 100. 55 miles into our ride and we're passing them like they're fence posts. I love that stretch! They were racing, and were probably relieved when they found out we weren't.

BTW lowracer1 - doc ordered me up a stress test, which was today. I passed.

Oh — unless you meant my fantasy race results (like today when I was out for a training ride, and I passed a 'bent, and *tons* of roadies)? But I thought video was needed for that. I don't own a camera and I wouldn't want to hinder my poor roadie aerodynamics any further by wearing one. Hey...maybe you can come out and take some video of me passing people? You'll have to keep it slow, so maybe on a recovery day, after one of your races (real or pretend — you choose!). Then we could team up and post them here, or maybe in the Road forum.

You really make yourself sound like an idiot when you ignore facts and then try to argue - you realize that don't you?

I'm done with you.

us....them...me...you...

seriously ladies....So what if you get passed by a lowrider...so what if you dropped a roadie...so what if a strong roadie can out climb the vast Majority of the lowriders...

Let your pride and arrogance go kids.

Totally agree. Though the videos are kind of fun to watch, especially with the hardcore music and such.

I can not let my pride or arrogance go when I cruise by a paceline on this stealthy big wheel roadie killer. Every time I smoke some roadies the red light on my aerodynamic tail fin flashes. Kids love it when they see the red flash as another roadie gets smoked to oblivion by a high tech super zoot recumbent.

It was 25F with a 16 mph North wind on my ride today, and I looked high and low for a roadie to smoke or at least set fire to for some heat, but the wussies must have all been inside hibernating.

It was twelve here. Didn't see any bikes other than mine. Yesterday was 30 & rain & snow, later freezing. Ice is interesting; salt less so. Did see a couple then. No 'bents though.

If I skipped "salt" season, I'd miss at least 5 months of riding and that would be unacceptable.

That reminds me, it's up to 27F - time to get dressed and hit the road!

My lowest-mileage month is February. It's not the cold; it's because Feb seems to have the most cold water, whether it's melting road ice, wet snow, freezing rain, etc. I'm not totally off my bike in the winter, but 300 miles for the Dec thru Mar season would be a big year.

I've kept records since 1982 and historically, my lowest mileage month is January at 3.9% of my total mileage. I don't think it's because of the weather so much as burn out. After January comes December at 4.2% and February at 4.7%. My average mileage for December through February is 843 miles. Just for the record, July is my highest at 12.0%.

Regardless, I'd bet my weather tends to be better than yours, at least temperature wise.

I'm confused.

I thought "smoking" meant taking video of yourself passing people, not just putting on miles. Mileage? yawn.

I'll be out in the mud and rain on Sunday for some cyclocross, any of you are welcome to come smoke me there.

I don't know what "smoking" means in this thread, but one has to go the distance in order to pass people.. unless you're passing gas.

Just spotted a low-racer heading down the White Rock Creek Trail- at about Greenville, 11:20 AM Saturday- was that one of you guys?

(And, no, I didn't get smoked, I was headed the other way!)

It's called thread drift and happens here like in every forum.
