Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

110 or higher. I normally pump them to 120. I have been trying to bring the pressures down closer to 100 but it's a hard habit to break. Old school.

One of my riding buddies has something similar. If you pull it straight out it disengaged and you can reposition it wherever you want it.

Does it have to be locked down in the groove, or can it be locked down to the side of the groove? Maybe that’s my brake rub problem.

Just checking, I was worried for a second. I don’t think i’ve ever gone above 80 on those.

I was standing by the no post no bars but the price is just so tempting. Plus the reviews are awesome, I guess some of those could be fake.
So the china bars come in at 225 grams
the bontrager elite aero alloy bars come in at 325 grams

Ill check the weight of the Whyfis bars. I’m assuming when cutting weight every gram counts?

When carbon bars break do you get any kind of warning? A high pitch cracking noise? increase flex? Is it usually during sprints or going down hill or running into the back of a car? Asking for a friend.

The one I have can be locked down in any position you choose. You tighten the axle by screwing it in just enough so the lever will lock down. I had trouble with it once and it just needed to be lubed a bit. In other words the lever was binding and was so hard to close I couldn't get the right torque.

You’ll always get a warning. Whether you have time to heed it is a different question.

have not had that happen yet. I had the rear wheel not what to open once in Dallas. That was a head scratcher.

I’ve been talking to seattle forrest, he has a C3 with ardennes and hasn’t ever had brake rub problems. So now I wonder if it’s the cheaper carbon my bike is made of, or the super teams, though they seem bullet proof not sure what that says about flex’s.

if I put my bontrager wheel on the cervelo to test out the wheel theory, would it matter that the rotor on the bontrager wheel is sram? I would not touch the brake. I could tell in a matter of seconds whether or not the rub was there.

it's spring loaded. So if you tighten it and it's pointing down. You pull straight out and it can be rotated to any position. It has a fairly fine detent so you can get it to pretty much any position you want.

Seems to me you've been getting a bunch of warnings here....

I have 3 , EC 90 seat posts I bought a few years back. I was going to give them a shot. I put one on the trainer Tarmac to test. I couldn't believe how springy it was! Not only in the for-aft direction but rotationally also. They twist like a spring. So now they sit in a box with all my to small saddles.

I have a Spesh CF post on my Sirrus. I’d does soak up some vibration, but I’ve experienced no springiness.

No springiness on the Domane, but admittedly not much sticks out from the mast and it is d-shaped.

I recently threw out my busted carbon post collection. They always Crack @ the collar in back. Right on top. The Trek cross bike didn't last 40 miles before I broke it

Well after going through the reviews….. I am not buying china bars.

Its amazing how many 5 star reviews people never even rode them. They just go on and on how they look. Obviously they don’t realize the death trap they just installed on their bike. Anyways, the true cyclist, give it one stars and all experienced catastrophe failure.
