8"/200mm adjustable wrenches have a "just right" hole at the end. Smaller or larger adjustable wrenches don't have the right hole size to do this.

Just tug on tne wrench carefully, a bit at a time until the two faces are parallel.

One you do that, getting the dropout faces parallel and derailleur hanger aligned properly are next. Sheldon Brown

My opinion is that you have a good hub @Fkirschfink . You can use Hyperglide gears if you do some filing or grinding. These hubs are great for changing gear ratio. You or a good bike mechanic will have to work on the rear drop out. As far as the derailleur goes, just keep an eye out for something better, You also may need a longer cage to cover your new gear range.

It sure does look like you got some hills there. 13 - 21 would be tough in your neighborhood. You need some bigger gears.

I thought @mpetry912 was mistaken. 5 cross spokes. I looked at the picture and he may be right. If it works keep riding. Nice bike. Welcome to Bike Forums.
