Bike Shops Are Busy, So I'm Wrenching More...

My situation is: bike shops are out, so I’m wrenching, period!
Still on lockdown here, bike shops aren’t opening. Some mechanics are freelancing at their own homes, but I don’t trust most of them and the ones I trust are asking a premium. On top of that, my income have gone down significantly, so I have to deal with it.
The bike is my way out of crowded and covid-infested public transportation. And I’m doing it well: everything is tidy, functional and safe.
Our three bikes (mine, wife’s and daughter’s) are much better than the rag tag rides I’m seeing around here: disconnected or missing v-brakes, worn out (to the point of exposed casing) tires, random creaks all around, broken pedals fixed with epoxy putty, mismatched rims (found a 26” bike with a 24” rear and 26” front) and so on.
Looks like if this **** doesn’t ends soon, a bike version of Mad Max may be on order...
