Even if you carry a spare tube it is always a good idea to carry a patch kit. I like the Park Pre-Glued Patches, they are quick to install, hold long enough to get you home, the kit weighs next to nothing and takes virtually no space. Cheap insurance. On of my friends that rides tubeless also carries the same patches. He says they seal well enough on the casing to get you home in the event the bacon doesn't seal the puncture.

I meet people all the time that doubt the effectiveness of tubeless. They are usually stopped on the side of the road, holding up a group of friends, and fixing a flat.
