Well it is not vintage, but it is a classic style touring bike -- Picked up a left over 2008 Fuji Touring bike from Performance, marked down to $599 and then I had a 10% off coupon. so $539 plus tax. Bought the Performance Club card, so another $28 in store credit for later this year.
I have been looking and thinking about getting a new touring bike over the past year, and could have spent a lot more, but am a big fan of good quality and a great deal. Haven't had a chance to take a real ride yet, but a quick spin around my neighborhood indicates I am going to really like this bike.
New bike purchase made possible by flipping bikes (for the money) and finding out Performance possibly had left over stock from BF member Halfbent on Sunday's Ohio BF/CV ride.

I just started a thread about it before I saw the sticky. I usually live in the commuters forum....

My PFN10 I got off Craigslist. I was going to flip it, but it fits and rides nice. I think I'll keep it.
A special thanks to 23skidoo for sending me the final part to finish this bike.

Heh, I think you will be pleasantly surprised...search for threads with 'Medici' in the title, there was a new thread just the other day and th consensus was that they are awesome bikes. Especially if they are in perfect shape, outfitted with Campy Record and only $75!
So far it's nice, light and responsive. Its a keeper, I'll give it to my son when I'm too old to ride. Untill then, it will get a complete rebuild, in stages as my wrenching skills improve. I put on new rubber and brake cables, adjusted the rear hub (had some minor issues with axle, will deal with later) and almost road it this morning. But, I chose not to since the headset was a little loose and I didn't want to cause undue wear.
Thanks again, I would have likely passed on it had I not been lurking 'round the forum.
And no its not for sale.
... well maybe... a nevermind.

Just won two 1978.5 Treks on Ebay for 162.50+local pickup. I'll be keeping the smaller one, and hopefully I can sell the bigger one to pay for the auction, gas, and lunch for the guy driving me up to get them.
Here they are:

Odd Peugeot
Saw this one being tossed out and couldn't pass it up. after some adjustments the Svelto RD and the head light/tailight work great! He even left the spanner tools in the bag. SN# 0936251 but because Peugeot did have standard conventions i am left to guess around 1972-1974.

Picked these up yesterday. Both of them for 30bones off CL. Both are about the same size, they fit me just right. They obviously need some TLC. Im picking up another one tomorrow, most likely swap some parts. Is there such a thing as too many bikes? lol
