My father died young so I have no clue as to "what could have been" had he lived. I never had genetic testing done so no clue regarding that predisposition, but chances are good that my genes are PRO-PROSTATE CANCER since I did everything right as far as diet, life style, exercise and still wound up with my GLEASON 10 cancer tumor. The ONLY QUESTION that circulates in my empty head is that had I not lived a very healthy and careful life could the cancer have appeared earlier in my life???

Any cause of irritation to the prostate, e.g. -- ejaculation, riding a bike, lifting weights, basically anything other than doing almost nothing for days, YES DAYS before a PSA test will cause the PSA to be higher, not lower than normal level.

completely unscientific, but knew a guy who got prostate cancer and died, and he said the doctor told him it was basically from lack of use
