My '91 Serotta Colorado II with a beat up (but cheap) Ultegra 9-speed group. It is a very light and fast bike, the lightest steel bike I have.

Jeesh, I'd love to have one of those.

Looks great and I'd wager it is a blast to ride.

Way to go!

I would be tempted to try an 11 speed Athena gruppo on her down the road.

Nice "beater". I'm not sure how a Serotta could ever fly under-the-radar, at least with its decals intact.

My '87 Cannondale sr400

got it cheap off craigslist and put some of my other wheels, shifters, saddle, and pedals on it. Then got some new tubes, chain and bar tape and finally got it all together yesterday and got the gearing adjusted and ready to ride. It came with a computer but I had already purchased a new wireless one a couple weeks ago so I'm going to hook up both for a while and see which I like more.

My bike isn't a Serotta... ;D

It just thinks it is.

Was telling my friend that with the improved gearing that I could see myself doing a sub hour 40 on the little guy if the body is willing.

Reference to post 456, I think . Although having improved a 20 myself a number of years ago, I could see it confusing itself with a Serotta, or a Moulton . And don't forget what Dave Howard did on a Moulton .

Ha, first time posting at bikeforums after lurking for too long.. Anyway, here are my 'distractions' :

F. Moser, 63cm 1986 51.151 edition :

The tri-colore : Pug 60cm PH10S 1983, Pug of friend and Colnago 57cm 1973 :

The Moser needs some work still, missing a Gipiemme left crank for example..

Nice to see all these shiny works of engineering

Finally got the '84 610 cleaned up and finished.

Was 100% (and grimy) when I found it a week or so back. Cleaned it up, put some 700c Mavic Rimmed, Campy hubbed, Shimano 600 freewheeled wheels on it, some 1985 Look ATB pedals and a vintage cateye. Put the tape on yesterday after a failed, and disappointing attempt at harlequin wrap. Cotton tape is too thin for my hands.

Surprisingly nice bike for the $225 I have in it. It's been a long time since I rode a nice bike with friction on the downtube.

Just purchased a Nishiki Marina last Wednesday and I have been riding it since! Yes, I am a newbie and I am in love. Upgrading a few things this week starting with new Wheels, tires, tubes, handlebar tape and a tune-up. If anyone has any suggestions on a good set of wheels I could possible put on this I would appreciate it! I love the style of Vintage bikes and I cannot wait to upgrade these parts.

Third day ride around my city with a buddy who is also new to the sport.

Picked this up Diamondback Master TG up yesterday and this is how i got it....
https://sarasota.craigslist.org/bik/3016687777.html

The guy had electrical tape over the original bar wrap,so i pulled it off and the wrap was in surprisingly good condition. The saddle sucken balls,so I went straight to my LBS after picking it up and bought a Bontrager RL for 15 bucks. Also picked up some Lizard Skins DPS in white, but I have to get new cables before I wrap.Luckily I had a seatpost to fit it because the stock post was steel.

This is the current set up

I am probably going swap out all the vintage 105 with a Sram Apex group and some neuvation wheels.
