I agree, those are model 49s, which means you can use T.A., Velo Orange, and certain Sugino and Nervar chain rings. Go look at T.A.Pro Vis chain rings - you could run 46/26 with those cranks!

Another great place for TA chain rings is https://www.veloduo.co.uk/collection...gs-inner-outer, not to mention TA itself, though TA is more expensive. Note that you'll need both outer and inner rings (middle, too, if you go triple) if you switch to TA rings.

I post this info a lot, because Velo-Duo Cycles helped me a lot by responding a lot more quickly than I expected a few years ago when I needed a new 42-tooth inner TA ring. I'm still grateful, so I still want to mention them.

I got 52/36 TA pro vis 5 cyclotouriste rings from them a few months back, then a set of bolts, works fine on a Stronglight 49D.

Lots of options for 'vintage' parts it seems. Lots of life left in my 'classic' MB GR, I'm chuffed to see so much support to help keep it in safe, ride-able condition!

Outstanding, thanks!

(I'm more of an e-mail guy myself. I like having something to refer back to as opposed to conversations over what might be a compromised (I'm rather challenged in the hearing ability portion of my seven senses) connection despite the words being digitized between their mouth and my ear....)
