Yes, I expected it to be empty, but was surprised when I tried to lift it off of the ground and almost strained my back!
The cost to ship would be prohibitive, the box weighs a ton and shipping anywhere would be high....shipping to Canada would certainly break the bank. Maybe stuffing it in a flat rate reinforced box like the BOC would help.

juvela,
Wow, where did you find this? The blue one looks very business like. The case I have is very well used I found was used only 3 bodies and no chains but boat loads of rings that I will need to find homes for.
Thanks for the information.
Best, Ben

...one consumer kit was unable to locate images of is the America which came in a wood case...

IIRC it dates from the late 1970's, was somewhat smaller than the FUTURA kit posted above

can recall seeing it in the display window at me LBS ~1978-79 (IIRC!)

---

please keep us posted with updates as you work with the Mondia Super

the combination of rear mech and stem bracket narrowly its date

final year for the 3TTT Gran Prix stem was 1970-71

sometimes one encounters a '71 or even a '72 machine wearing one as manufacturers used up existing stocks

as am sure you likely know it takes the odd seven mm key

the hub locknuts will of course give you a specific year for their time of manufacture

have lots of good enjoyment with this wonderful find!

juvela,
Thanks for this information, I will start a thread on the break down of the Mondia. It will most likely be a service and clean-up. I am not sure if it will get the "bath" to remove the rust but time will tell the chrome seems kie it will clean up well and the paint still looks good.
The person I bought it from did say he switched brakes and bars out for Turkey levers in order to provide more comfort for his wife...the T levers are now long gone, so I will see what turns up.
I don"t know what it was originally equipped with.
Please chime in when I start the thread...Thanks Again.
Best, Ben

Ben,
I still have a few pairs of TA plates for the clips on those very cool Lyotard platform pedals. The pedals are very easy to refurbish and clean up. I used them pretty exclusively back in the day. I switched to Superbe pro platforms when I could no longer get the Lyotard platforms. Smiles, MH
