I don't know the history of this brand (in it for the bike porn mainly), but you can find a fair number of Wiliers from the sixties online, like this one, or even this headset. Hard to believe they went out of business for decades. At some point (mid 70ies?) the brand name changed from Wilier to Wilier Triestina, reflecting the start-up of a new factory in a different region in Italy (in Trieste, duh), maybe that's when a bankruptcy was involved.

Only the earliest frames from the original company where copper plated. This is around 40's. The company never got up to speed after the war. It went out of business. The name was bought in the 1980's and restarted. The ramata finish by that company are paint over chrome.
