My favorite Bianchi Limited encounter was a 1984 model at Goodwill a few years ago. As usual, I entered the store and headed straight to the bicycles. Usually there is nothing decent there, but every once in a while, maybe a couple of times a year, I do find something decent.
Guy right in front of me grabs the Bianchi, $10. CRAP! He heads straight to the register to pay, and I engage him in conversation. I say: "That sure is a nice bike you got there, I really like it", we talk a bit. Then I tell him, "I'll give you $50 cash for the bike, and you don't even have to pay for it." Him "Really?" "Yes" as I pull out the cash. He says "I really like the seat on this bike" (a heavily cushioned, POS comfort bike saddle). I told him, "I'll take the seat off and you can have it". "Deal".
So I paid $60 for the Limited, put another $50 into tires, cables, etc., sold it for $300. Win/win.

Day off from work decided to start the mini overhaul of the Limited.
Removed the old cables, bar tape, saddle and cages. Pedals wont be used so I may trade those for something useful.
Cleanup was an ease and bike shined afterwards.
I'm waiting on a few parts to arrive such as a pair of 6207 brake levers and shimano 600 stem.
Ill update with pics when installed.

Another odd ball Squadra?
Hi all.
A friend sold me a "pink" Bianchi that looks like the bike pic at or near the beginning of this thread. It has plastic (or painted aluminium?) brake levers with adjusters that poke through the lever mount on the top. The hoods are deteriorated badly and need to be replaced. The brakes say "Limited Squadra, Ambrosia eyelet rims, etc. The cranks appear to be Sugino or similar (no markings that I can see). I haven't picked it up yet but will in the next day. I am so hoping it fits!
So I'll get the serial number and post some pics as soon as I can seeking help to identify it.
Great thread for those of us who stumble upon these old, odd coloured bikes.
PS: serial number appears to be "6C 11333"

I had a blue squadra with silver decal lettering with universal brakes. My other Bianchi limited was the same as the one in that catelog with the silver and celeste lettering. celeste cable housing and seat. It had Shimano all tri colored 600 components.
