Yes. Gloves should match the rest of your kit, obviously. Wear whatever the other team members are wearing this year. Ask your directeur sportiff for a pair the next time that the team hands out kit for the season.

Oh. You're not professional? Then just wear whatever...

Neutral beige gloves with white crocheted back to acquire a reticulated tan on the back of hands – the mark of a true cyclist.

My gloves match my backpack both are lime green/ dayglow yellow that dont match with anything. I got them because they were at least $10 cheaper than anything else on the rack and I do like the lime green and black. Backpack is from comic con. Gloves remind me a little of Lamar from Revenge of the Nerds tho.

Back on topic, in the past I'd try to keep to two color schemes (blue and yellow) to reduce the amount of kit to match. So only two of everything if you're OCD on color matching. But lately I have worn the blue gloves with the yellow jersey, etc. So guess I'm not caring as much in my older years...

OP...

I don't understand, why doesn't your kit match your bike?

Both work. If you have several kits of different colors, however, it might be tricky. I match mine to my bar tape.

i hate the trend for everything to be black. I hate that I could only find black tights. but now I have 3 pairs because what other choice did I have? I angrily tweeted at all the companies.
All my casual riding shorts are a multitude of different colors. Same with my running/cycling shirts. my jerseys are also colorful.

my bikes are also bright green, powder blue, and dark green. i have syracuse orange bar tape on one, and bright green on the other.

my gloves are white/orange/black for one pair, and black/red for the others.

colors people. colors.

Because I'm basically a non-conformist at heart and I don't give a hairy rat's behind about cycling fashion do's and dont's. LOL!!

Then why did I bring up the topic? Like I said, my brother's question got me to thinking and I was curious what other cyclists did/thought.

Absolutely. Riding a bike is supposed to be a cheerful thing. I can wait till I get home to worship Satan. I don't need to do it while I'm riding.

Here's some shorts that you might like: Altura

Well, it's not too late. You can always have your bike repainted.

If I did, I'd have it done by a professional. I tried repainting a bike waaaaay back in my teen years, and let's just say the results were disastrous.

Of course you would have it done by a professional. I mean, you wouldn't buy your kit "off the rack" would you?

I didn't read the other replies but don't your jerseys already match your bike? If so, getting gloves should be very easy.

For some reason all my gloves have always been blue, red and black.
But I don't try too hard to match.

Gloves? GLOVES??? Gloves are for wussy. Don't need no stinkin' gloves. Why, when I were a boy I rode the cobbles. On 19s. With bare hands and no bar tape.
Gloves; what has cycling come to?
