I think she was just joking , but for a minute I was thinking , hmm. I was lucky to find at South Shore cyclery in Cudahy Wi . just north of me.. I guess one of the mechanics built it , then got a different bike. Pretty hard to find a touring bike at a reasonable price!!....

I think you'll be shocked at how heavy that SP-KC seatpost is compared to something even a few years newer. I reluctantly swapped out the SP-KC with an XC Pro and was really really surprised by the weight difference.

Carrying strap mounts!

This is the 1987 catalog- but look at the specs page for the Volpe- it describes what braze ons are on the bike. https://velobase.com/CatalogScans/1987Bianchi.pdf

I've never been in South Shore Cyclery- I've driven past dozens of times- but never when I've had the time or inclination to stop in.

I think you got a really sweet deal- from what I see of that bike.

You need to post some drive side shots! See if you can't mount that pump under the top tube- that'll free up that bottle cage on the seat tube!

I already set up with a small pump inside the bag. Looking forward to a bit of touring!!
