Any SS MTBers in this crowd? Out here in Washington I have only seen one SS MTBer in the past four years. I am hoping to make it past 60 still riding my SS MTB, and past 70 riding MTBs that have gears.

I'm SS'er (and live in your area). I've got several 50+ riding friends who also SS.

Henry's is a fun area - great for SSing!

BTW the Trance rode great. I can tell the difference between this bike and last year's model and this bike is way more stable and handled everything. I do miss my granny from the 2x on the older bike but I got by just fine.

At 56 i've just had a year on a road bike in the UK, alas got sick of car drivers and didn't find road biking a relaxing hobby. So an eBay trade latter and a chat with my LBS and i'm back on a mountain bike. First ride today completely car less, it was fantastic.
