Some day I will own a Langster, if only in spite of this forum's hate of the Langster.

I've been looking at road bikes and I wanted to ask: should I shop new or used? I'm looking to stay somewhere inbetween $1000-$1500, but I'd like the most bike for my buck. As far as used models go, I've been looking at used Specialized S-Works E5s, which fall into my price range (complete) . For anyone who has knowledge of road bike models, are there any entry level bikes that are comparable to an older S-Works E5?

should i dog pile on the internet ass kicking that evilliealotmore and his crew are taking over in the post a pic of your sled sticky? the only way for the youngsters to learn, the internet hard way, though i miss the days when your mates just punched in the face for being a ******. virtual face punches just don't educate the way a good stinger does

i got some nitto rb002s and i love em.

also im posting here for more of a "why should i", im curious to why people upgrade cranksets, is it just for aesthetics or is there functionality other than changing gear ratios. if i have the proper length cranks and i enjoy my gear ratio would there be any reason to upgrade the stock crankset on my Hour?

Crankarms like omniums/75s/DAs will be of higher quality and in turn have increased functional/performance qualities (stiffness/weight/etc). Though others may use aesthetic/vanity value alone as reason to "upgrade", oohing and ahhing at their newly acquired Nitto/Thomson/DA part as their perceived street cred increases.

It is up to your opinion to determine if the "upgrade" is worth while. You can be perfectly satisfied with your Kalloy seatpost and feel that a Thomson post is not necessary.

Should I get... the Masi Uno Riser or the Felt Brougham? OR should I spend a little more money and get the Pinarello Lungavita?

I don't know why but when i rode my bike with a carbon fork i was always worrying as i went downhill if that time would be the time it failed and i had to spend time having my beautiful face reconstructed. So now its in the parts pile.

Should i convert my kilo to threaded, i already have a threaded fork, headset and stem.

Should I buy my next frame or do another conversion? I live in Canada so many distributors don't ship here.
