Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

And, is it a one night thing or through the season? If thru the season, who’s in charge of light, dousing, and replacing?

Ordered up a set of unused demo Reynolds ATR 700s from MBS for literally the same amount as the nicer HED alloys.

Let me explain it to you this way. It's like the difference between a classical piece of music on real instruments versus Fisher-Price instruments.

I'm beginning to think life has passed me by. I understand all those words but I don't know what it means in totality. You are happy so that's all that matters
Full disclosure: I think you bought some wheels but you might as well be talking about the nuances of wormholes.
Now I know how @seedsbelize feels.

Oooh, the new ones have improved ground clearance, but plastic body instead of wood has to kill the sound.

I can too, but would probably crash and die.

Had a nice ride with my wife today. She has finally gotten comfortable with clipless pedals. On the other hand lots of high strung women out making me feel inferior.

While we were stopped, two guys on high zoot crabon jobs, flew past us. Got to hear the sound that was mentioned the other day. Much different than metal bikes.

And, a question. When shifting to a smaller cog, I sometimes get a chirping sound. Typically on the smaller cogs. Chain is waxed and lubed with Clean Ride between waxing. Chain is otherwise silent. Makes no noise going to a larger cog. Any ideas?

No turbo. I can only do that downhill if the slope is great enough and the wind is at my back. Then I get sceered..
