Spent some time on my RB-1 for the first time in almost a year yesterday. I really enjoy it and its a wonder I havent ridden it in so long. The highlight was getting up my Uncles driveway with a 23degree grade.

My MB-0, now a commuter but has all the original kit except grips, seat, headset, fork (original hangs in garage), and I've recently swapped the pedals for clipless.
My XO-1, all stock (I think, haven't owned this since new) except pedals

Here is a crappy picture of a 1984 Bridgestone 400 that I recently put on Craig's List. Hopefully it is gone soon.
I would love to get my hands on a RB-1.

I have posted this one many times, but not in this thread. 1991 RB-T frame with bad paint justifying powdercoating.

^ Nice couple of RB-1's!
I have to take some pics of my '92 yellow/white RB-1. I got some more original parts for it so it is almost done.

Below you see the picture of my early 80's Bridgestone Diamond Formula. I am the first owner and lately are riding it regularly again. I don't see other people owning one;is it rare?

Thanks, PP.
Its rider _does_ want to swap it out for a B17. :-)
Being an early-90's MTB, the seat-clamp ears are large and flat to accept a special short QR like this one. I'm not sure who needs to adjust their saddle height that often, but it comes in handy when I want to ride the bike -- I just raise the saddle about 4". (It doesn't fit great like that, but it gets the job done.)
Does anybody know why they started putting quick-release saddle adjustments on MTBs?

I think I've heard that once riding became more technical, QRs made it easier for folks to drop their saddles for rough sections where you'd want it out of the way. I don't remember what it's called, but there was a product that was basically a spring (so you could slam your seatpost down while riding the rough stuff, and then have it spring right back up to its previous height when you released the QR).

My '91 RB-2.
This bike has gone to the top of the rotation since I bought it a few months ago.

I imagine this is why they don't sell this product anymore.
EDIT: I remember now! It's called the Hite-Rite: https://cyclescribe.blogspot.com/2011...tta-sight.html

I think I'm finished with my 1992 Bridgestone RB-1. This one is a keeper for me; really comfortable fit.

I tried to keep it mostly stock with a few updates. I have collected the original calipers and levers but I was worried about the braking quality so I got some Tektro levers and Campy Veloce calipers with Kool Stop pads; it stops on a dime now.
Other bits:
Shimano 600 Ultegra with 8 speed bar end shifters (1 more speed than stock)
Mavic Aksium wheels/ 8 speed cassette
Flite Ti saddle
Nitto Noodle handlebars
Shimano 105 SPD-SL pedals
