I have a feeling it may be an adjustment issue. The way the bike came, the rear derailleur was unable to shift into the big cog at all (not a limit screw issue), and only relented after I changed out a rear hub spacer. Unfortunately adjusting the positioning of old Superbe Pro is a bit beyond my experience, but I can definitely see about giving it a shot.
