IRO has an excellent deal on rims: https://www.irocycle.com/irocoldfusionrims.aspx
These are apparently rebranded KinLin XR-270 rims - around 450g each and quite excellent. Normally is around $55 each.

Used my time machine to go back in time and found out that I posted it on the 9th of January.
IRO is having a huge sale on their rims, hubs and even spokes!

Anyone have any first hand experience with those? And is what's the difference between machined and non machined outside of aesthetics? These should work fine with a stock kilo tt right?

A machined braking surface has been machined to provide a more effective braking surface. You can use brakes on a non machined wheel but you'll ruin the paint on the wheel, and it'll look ugly.

Anyone have any experience with this road fork? I have been thinking about changing but can't find much about this one. It is rather cheap.

Here's another option with less rake (and I'm sure BikeIsland has some cheap(ish) options as well):

Already have a curved fork. Pulling a CC and just trying out some new things. This build wont progress much further as I am working on a new one.
Assuming a measured correctly (to center of fork dropout) I have about 50mm (or 2 inches) of rake. So the difference between my fork option and my current fork would be minimal.
How much rake is on the axis?
That seems like a lot of rake. What's the rake on your current fork?

Ah yea, then that fork should be a good match. The Performance Bikes website says the Axis has 40mm of rake.
