Thanks, I like the black post too, mostly because it is an American classic but to make it a bit more period correct I think I'll go for a campy aero (if I can find one long enough)

bought this mtb over the weekend for my gf, set it up as a SS last night, also put new bars and stem. still a work in progress.. not sure if she will like the bars, but she was complaining about the original riser bars so i swapped them out for these.

My New Single Speed Cross Bike - All-City Nature Boy
My New Single Speed Cross Bike!
Picked up an All-City Nature Boy. A year old model that was in a shop, so I saved big dollars on it. Color is not black, but Blackened Blue, it has blue, green and purple metal flake under the clear, really shows when out in the sun.
Decided the bike need some color, other than black. So I purple taped the bars, then bought purple brake hangers, a purple stem cap and purple crank bolts. Probably went overboard, but I like it.
Also spent 4 hours de-decaling the Alex wheels. Just couldn't handle the oversized red and white logos.
I have not picked up a fixed cog yet (its a flip fop hub), but hoping to give fixed riding a shot on this bike too.
Hopefully I will get to ride it this week, raining like crazy right now here.

Harbor Freight sells a rivnut tool? I haven't seen it, and I practically live there in the summer.
