Inseam minus 12 is about how my hybrids measure, 20" and 20.5. They are undersized. I had to replace the seatpost on the 20" Cannondale pictured above with a longer one before it fit. The handlebars are high enough only because it's a comfort bike, designed to provide an upright position for a smaller rider than me.

Therefore, based on my experience the only bike on your list that will fit you without modification is the Fuji. The 21" may require modification (taller stem or riser bars perhaps), the 23" probably not. 700x28c tires should be OK on paved paths and the occasional rough street. It looks like it has a lot of spokes which is a good thing for a guy your size, assuming weight proportional to height.

Even with modification the 21" will probably put you in a performance oriented position. My guess, it will be easier to obtain your desired riding position on the 23".

@qmsdc15, thanks a lot. I don't mind the performance orientation too much - I'd like to ride my bike hard and fast. But I'd like to avoid as many mods as possible (save new grips and possibly a saddle if required), so I'm leaning towards that 23".

More suggestions? If I can get the Seek 3 in the larger size (22"?), any thoughts vs. the Fuji Absolute S (3)?

I started a new thread for this - asking for specific help in choosing which size to buy for the Fuji Absolute 3.0 - 21" or 23" - with no test rides unfortunately. Thanks for your help everyone.

Look at the other advantage of getting the right size; nobody else over there can ride it, so you won't have to worry about theft so much.

That's gotta be the best response in this thread!

buddhafrog, nice bike! What Bob said, it's not about your height, it's how long your legs are. But also, how long your arms are will determine how comfortable you are. That handlebar offset only makes you lean forward more.
