What! There’s a 50+ forum. I never even thought of looking for an age related forum and I’m mid 60s. 🤦‍♂️

I think bicycling is the strongest link I still have to my inner child. The good side of that child, at that. I sure hope I keep connecting.

When someone asked me how old I was. I would say have a guess. From my teens, until my early 40s, many said about 25. I was 25 for 25 years.

How old you look, is determined largely by your hair and skin. I looked young.

As I approached 50, I started to get some grey hair, so I started looking a bit older.

Even now, my mind is still like it was when I was 25, but my grey hair gives it away.

I don't think like that. I am not ready to sit and take it easy like old people do. I am a young person who has lived a lot longer than other young people.

Many of my friends are young people.

There are some very fit cyclists, including some of the older people. But many people my own age would be too slow to go cycling with. Of course, many fit 25 year olds would leave me behind.

I tell my wife that I never had grey hair until after I got married. Of course we've been married for 21 years.

Milton Keynes My least favorite 50+ initiation rite was the colonoscopy. But please, don't put it off.

At 66, cycling is my super power. When I get on my bike, my years melt away and the concerns go with them, at least until the first big climb

Calendar says I’m 62, my GARMIN says I don’t look a day older than 20.

Obviously, the GARMIN doesn’t have a camera. But I’m taking the compliment.

Welcome to the half century club. You're only as old as you feel, and Hey AARP isn't so bad. Who doesn't like a little discount every now and then.

Very nice.
I’m 56 and still owning noobs in Ultima Online.
I also still eat a fair amount of junk food, sometimes drink enough that I get a massive hangover, play street hockey weekly with a group of guys that are on average 20 years younger than me and check out every piece of tail that crosses my line of poor vision.
TMI baby!

I'm 56 as well, and still play Xbox with my 21 yo son, listen to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, to Lady Gaga and Eminem. Forget comfy "geriatric" shoes my peers are starting to wear - my last purchase was Adidas Ultraboost Lego edition. I don't believe as we have to get older we have to stay within the stereotypes of our generation.

Love it! There's no reason to act and dress "old". Thank God for bicycling, which opens a lot of doors. At 68, I feel younger than many of my 40-ish nieces and nephews.

Man, I was all over AARP when I hit 50. I think it was like $12/yr and I got some cheesy free bag with it. I took my kid and her friend to the aquarium the next week and saved like $100. Just recently saved another $300-400ish at the Don Cesar on St. Pete Beach on a few nights. They have great AARP discounts everywhere. Welcome to old guy status...work it.
