Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

None, if anything it would be more aero in the rear, but not enought to make a difference either way.

Theoretically, with the sensor on the rear of the fork, if the sensor ever got knocked inward during a ride, it could then catch on the spoke or spoke magnet and get sucked into the spokes and possibly bring you down...with the sensor on the front of the fork, it would just get pushed back out by the rotation of the wheel.

That's all theoretical though...

What is NOT theoretical is that you have an friggin' AWESOME BIKE!!!

Agreed. My sensor has shifted on me before and the magnet started to rub. I have never seen a sensor on the trailing side of a fork before and if it shifted... Ouch. You should move it to the leading side just to be safe.

Beautiful bike by the way! (Love that Orange)

Happy ending afterall, I guess. If orange is your thing, then power to you. I would have liked to see this thing in blue, though. *drool*

Bike and period are separate words....

Period means 'end of discussion'.

So now when is wifey going to get a suped up ride???

Well... wifie here again.... I am not nearly as athletic as MScycler so I will wait until my body mechanics can justify and upgrade. He is a runner by original hobby and is a 12 year Army member....and can do basically any sport really well. <evil jealouse pangs here> He even drops weight like a fat lady drops Tofu.... Me on the other hand....Hehe!!! I have had 3 kids and am not 21 anymore. I LOOK at a Krispy Kreme and my booty spreads another 2 inches. My trek 1000 is working just fine for me right now thank you. I dream of a Cervelo though.......<sigh>

Having the sensor on the front allows it to be simply pushed out of the way by the spokes, with little or no damage to either, should it be accidentally bumped and pushed into the wheel.
On the other hand if it's on the back and the same thing happens it'll be grabbed by the spokes and pulled to the front which could cause more damage to either sensor or spokes, or the fork leg.
Same thing applies to the magnet on the wheel.

OK...beautiful bike, but at the risk of starting another ugly thread I'll say it - that seat looks painful! Stretched out across the rails with so much seatpost showing I have to say the following question comes to mind.

Isn't that like riding in a <duck....incoming...> thong ?!

All the more reason to get a ride that makes you want to get on it. Beer is my Achilles heal, Krispy Kreams are yours. I’ll just leave you with a little temptation:

About the Orbea, I like the color, but it should say "Crayola" instead of Orbea. The black design reminds me of the old crayon wrappers

That's bad. I would try and chew on the frame.

Good Crayola call, but it's not a bad-looking frame.
