Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, its heavy with the over-sized tubing, but who cares. If I want light, I will ride my 13lb road bike. Plus its flat here in MIA.

I get soooo many compliments on my Madison, its scary. I love the old school Schwinn heabagde too!

Enjoy it! My Kilo is now for town rides and my Madison is my long ranged fixed ride. That's why I need to WB cages for the summer here. 45-60 mil rides in 90+ degrees of without WB is crazy! Sure it kinds kills the clean lines, but I ride my FG more than around the block, LMAO!

I'm a heavy dude and I like that it feels rugged...like I could throw it off my roof deck then go ride it away.

I get just as many compliments on my Maddy as I did my Kilo. The old school headbadge had to happen - it just looks so classic. I pulled it off a junk bike that was laying around in the basement of the shop where I work.

ahh john malkovich is brilliant.

I've never really liked the Madison...or any other Schwinn that wasn't made in Waterford, for that matter...

Not a VO Model 6 (but the specs are very similar) or a Brooks. For now, I'll call it a"secret prototype" of sorts.

Most likely. My stockpile of parts is bordering on hoarding.

HA! That was a pretty good almost-rhyme.
