(especially the convertible) I could probably get the frame in the trunk if i removed both wheels, the seat and the handlebars. The wheels would probably have to go in the front seat. Pretty ugly solution. Besides, who wants to dissasemble and reassemble the bike each time? My wife has a Lincoln MKX but sometimes I want to use the bike when she is at work. Plus we would like to use the Vette with the top down for travelling to the trail
There is a local Vette shop that may be able to install a hitch behind the license plate. I will know more later this week about that solution, and post that info.

I know it will interfere with your exhaust, but it might be best to have the exhaust altered to accommodate for the receiver where it will reside.
I've had to do such mod to the SRT Jeep, Shelby Mustang, Honda CR-Z, & a Mini Cooper S that came to me with that issue. Cost was about the equivalent to what the hitch cost.
