Please don't call it a "'drome"

If "velodrome" is too long, just call it a "track"

'Drome is like calling San Francisco 'Frisco.

Should that not be Dick Lane Velodrome?

I'm not against abbreviations, just a few of them.

DLV is 3 syllables.
Dick Lane Velodrome is 5 syllables, and it's the initials.

'Drome has always been weird to me like 'Frisco. San Francisco residents seem to be OK with people calling the city San Francisco, SF, "The City" (if you are in the bay area), but cringe when you say 'Frisco...kinda like when people call me Carl.

But, hey, I also hate the word "fixie"...but that cat is already out of the bag

I'm surprised that neither Alpenrose nor Brian Piccolo has been mentioned - I would guess that both are also pretty busy, at least on the racing side? Anyone here local to either?

Edit: Or the Frisco (not 'Frisco) Super[velo]drome , for that matter?

If I ever make it down to DLV I'm definitely going to use this as my icebreaker.

I run an indoor mtb park and want to bang my head against the wall every time I hear "sesh & brah" in the same sentance. "Killer sesh brah".....
