...when most of your bikes need some sort of adjustment or repair and you just grab another one that's fully operational.

Actually once I get to n-70, and clear out an imaginary co-op's worth of bike junk....I'd like to build a rolling rack that holds s dozen bikes. I saw plans for one with a 4x8 foot print. A dozen or so... Is a long term goal, but having a dozen riders vs. 100 potential bikes is gaining appeal....

reach over to the brake lever to shift on a downtube shifter bike....the bike was on the stand..

I've learned that as long as her bikes are conspicuously visible in the gaggle o' bikes, all is usually well.
