...good plan.

Sadly, I'm in the same boat with regard to cinnamon rolls.

Regarding the repaint. At least they did a nice job when they repaited it. I was thinking Denver, though.

This group can definitely help you with the parts that you need. But, I think that the International is one of those bikes that lends itself to building it up however you like.

If you haven't seen, here's a couple good sites as well:

Ride to the Cycling Hall of Fame

An adventure to meet up with fellow vintage bike enthusiasts and persons involved in cycling's history!

Our Third Saturday Vintage Ride in October has multiple ride options. All are pretty flat. On October 21st, Peter Rich is being inducted into the U.S. Cycling Hall of Fame (USCHOF) later that day. George Mount, from Classic Rendezvous, is leading a casual ride from the USCHOF to Winters and back prior to the induction. Likely turnaround will be Steady Eddy's Café in Winters. That ride leaves at 10 a.m. if you want to just drive to Davis and ride that portion. The out and back of that ride is approximately 30 miles. I put together a Ride with GPS route that is probably pretty close to what George is going to use. The Davis Farmer's Market is adjacent to the USCHOF so there will be food options before the induction.
USCHOF-Winters-USCHOF ( 31.3 miles)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44514387

I have also put together a route from my house in East Sacramento (47th Street and H Street) to the USCHOF which is 18 miles each way. THAT ride will leave from my house PROMPTLY at 8:30 a.m. so that we have time to get to the USCHOF in time for the 10 a.m. ride. You can opt out of the ride to Winters and hang out at the farmer's market, then return to Sacramento, or you can then join the ride to Winters.

Here is the route from my house to the USCHOF and back. (35.6 miles) https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44514511

Both rides together will total 67 miles.

Here is the Facebook events link with the details and maps.

Looks fun!

Please be aware the west end of Capitol Mall is already closed for Sunday's Ironman, so you may need to finesse the approach to Tower Bridge.

Fingers crossed for Sunday... I've got a rain or shine event on Sat. If Sunday ends up being the day, can I get that Fuji head badge from you? I'm finishing up my America build soon (it might even be rideable by Sunday).

Absolutely. I am working from home today and you can call me if you want to arrange for another pick up time. You can PM me if you don’t have my number and I will message it back to you.

If anyone NEEDS a fresh vintage bike for tomorrow, there is a 56cm 1979 SR "Semi Pro" at Hospice thrift shop in Folsom for $100. Complete Shimano 600 Arabesque and new tires.

Another fun ride up to Folsom Dam with the Sacto contingent. The path had its shar of shady spots where wet pavement and wet leaves congregated (glad I brought my fendered bike, even of the fender lines are sub-standard), but all made it through without incident.

Folks should make an effort to get to this monthly ride. The route is good with just enough climbing to make you feel like you accomplished something, the bikes are fun and the natives are very tolerant of outlanders. Heck, if they'll welcome Robvolz and me, they'll welcome just about anybody. And how can you not want to ride past Folsom Prison on the Johnny Cash Trail?

Looks like a good time was had by all! I probably drove past you on the freeway as I was headed down to the bay area for work early Sunday morning.

I will join for as long as I can. Family Christmas party trumps my riding.

This reply is an ice-breaker. Let the banter begin. Did I mention there will be fruitcake?....
