And as for the grocery situation ... we opted to get our groceries at both the Saskatchewan River Crossing store and the Lake Louise store rather than hauling all of that with us from Rocky Mountain House. It was expensive ... but that's to be expected. There's nothing else within cycling distance!!
BTW - our route, this time, was Red Deer to Rocky to Nordegg to SRC to Johnson's Canyon to Banff.

The same cautions about groceries and food apply to Waterton. Best to stock up in Pincher Creek if coming from the north. There isn't much slection in the town store.
Another good uncrowded campground in Waterton is the Belly River campground almost on the US border on the road to Chief Mountain. It is 24 km from town and over a big hill, so it isn't that convenient for visiting the townsite.
