What tires are you using? My BF PR came with 1 1/8" IRC tires and I've switched to a Primo Comet 1 3/8" tire in the rear partly for a smoother ride and also when I tour with most of the camping weight on the rear rack. Although the width is listed as 1 3/8" (37mm) it's actually closer to 32mm - but still significantly wider than the original IRC tire.

My BF PR came with Kenda KWest 1 7/8" tires. They can be pumped up to 100psi, and I pumped them to about 90 psi.
