@gugie told me a while back that he's hoping to host a Ride, Wrench, and Grill later this year. Maybe you can make it down for that?

Yeah, looking at the weekend of 9/25 for that. Call it Bob's Big Shoe Light.

Can't commit yet. Thomas wanted to go as well, but he's out of town with friends for the weekend.

We'll see.

What a coincidence, I have a frame that needs a little attention. Alignment, bottle bosses.... Stuff you can do after a drink or two.

I made it in time for the ride, and a couple of hours looking at some really amazing bikes. I've never seen so many Herse, Hetchins, and Singers in one place. There were many marks that I've never heard of.

I feel pretty fortunate to have been there today. I didn't get to meet everyone, but chatted with some Cino Alumni and a few other enthusiasts. Thanks to Bob and his wife for hosting this, and to all that brought out their fantastic bicycles.

I'm not sure, but it might be bamboo. The top tubes were splitting as well. I don't have any more photos of this bike.

Now that's the way to photo-document the backyard display portion of Bob's annual Show 'n Ride! Thanks for all the fantastic photos, Roger M

Boy, no kidding, I took a bunch but mine suck compared to these, I also sucked in not meeting up with up with Roger, didn't realize he was there almost till he was leaving and was involved in a DiNucci discussion when I saw him getting in his car way down the road.

I got a few pics of bikes Roger didn't show so I'll post some of those and others later.

Damn. Just damn. Couldn't attend do to a family commitment. I can only hope that Bob keeps doing this.

I've been to French Fender Day twice, the collection of bikes at Bob's is higher both in quantity and quality.

West Coast wins today.

Yeah… That pretty much sums up both the quality of the bikes on display and my feelings about having to miss the event due to family commitments. I last saw Bob’s collection about 38 years ago when I worked at a then new Elliott Bay. It was breathtaking then, and I can only imagine what it’s grown to now, not to mention the quality of the other machines that turned up. Oh well - hopefully next year will work out. Bob is a treasure.

Not that it really matters but the Anacortes bike show may be that day/weekend according to some of the cognoscenti at Bobs.
