Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

He's too fat for this sport.

This of course can only mean one thing: Jake has been cast in the starring role for the Lance bio epic.

You might be joking, but it would make a lot of sense. While they do not really look alike, there is enough of a semblance to make it work. I could not make out the make of the bike. I would think Trek would have ponied up for a few rides for Jake if they knew they were doing it, just from the marketing/exposure standpoint.

The real test is to see whether Jake (or whatever actor is going to play the part) will be willing to lose the necessary weight (such as DeNiro in Raging bull) to pull off the look. You cannot have Jake as he looks like now riding around as a TdF champion. It would not be beleivable.

Why not have Lance play himself...His short scence in Dodgeball always makes me laugh...

If you saw Jarhead, then you know he's going to have to give up a look of man-pretty muscle in the chest and arms to play Lance.

He's too fat for this sport.

Aren't we all?
Is that so?

Yes, that is a mini-fridge.

I guessed you missed "Courage Under Fire", where he lost 40 lbs in 100 days to film 2 days worth of scenes as a heroin addict.

Yes, that is a mini-fridge.
Clearly, you're faking being a college student. There's no way there'd be Dr. Pepper in the mini-fridge. The only cans allowed in a mini fridge are beer cans. Kapish?

Haha...

That was not my fridge, and beer in cans tastes bad. Being a roadie means I can buy bottles and still not spend much money.

If they do a good job at producing this flick than I will definitely hit the theaters to watch it. Hopefully they don't go all "Pearl Harbor" on it and make it a poorly produced flop.
