We're no longer together, but it was lovely while it lasted:

Will you accept Radiant Coppertone in lieu of gold?

Lots of nice bicycles in this thread, but none are really gold, are they? That is not intended to offend and, with that in mind, I thought that I would show one gold bike, well gold plated to be more precise. The bike is not mine, rather it is a museum piece that is placed on display, here and there, from time to time. It is a thirties something CCM Flyer...

And as it was when just got it, and wanted to combine the speed of a roadbike with the convenience of mudguards for cycling all year round:

Schwinn called this 1962 Superior Radiant Gold. It's a bit different than the Radiant Coppertone color which they were also offering at the same time. Chain is slack because I store my bikes in the small - small combination to relax the rear derailleur springs. Springs in this derailleur are probably a bit weak also.

I think this bike is currently on display in the Calgary airport domestic arrivals area.

Those are Vittoria Open Corsa SC clinchers (700 x 25).
I also use the similarly sized Vittoria Evo Corsa 700x25 on other bikes, but those only come with black sides.

I think the tan/yellow-walled Open Corsa SC tires go better with the Flamboyant Gold bike.

My '85 Trek 420, guy that sold it to me said it was gold, Trek calls it taupe. Looks gold metal flake, I am getting used to it.
