Supercorsa - handlebars & seat colors
Cinelli Friends: since brooks doesn't have a yellow saddle (other than mustard yellow) to match these handlebars, i was thinking of going apple green on the brooks saddle and handlebar tape... any thoughts? keep it as is? thanks.

As far as a Super Corsa goes, I believe it's longevity speaks volumes about the brand, quality, and overall appeal. It's over 30 years old that I know of, and likely much older, still made.
Last price I got was from Lickbike, and I think it was $1650, with a 10-sp Centuar build, Campy wheels and other nice bits, at $3200 delivered.

OK, you made me do it.....
If I ever get another one, I want the lighter blue. They had one just sitting there at NAHBS, in a 56cm, frame only. Yes, I was tempted..... but the Cinelli guy knew my name.
FWIW: neither of mine are Super Corsas, but are Cinelli-made, post Columbo family, and the projects were negotiated with Gino by a Centurion representative. I don't want anybody thinking I'm passing them off as Super Corsas or even branded Cinelli's. The red one is a repaint with older decals and the silver one is OEM with era-appropriate decals. Both are SL-tubed, not SLX as the SC's of the era. There, all you guys getting ready to paste me on this thread, you can relax....

Did somebody say "China Blue"?
This frame is available, friends and neighbors, and she's looking for a good home.

But it wasn't Christmas!
Quick - someone arrest the candy cane that attacked those bars!
God that bike is beautiful.

ROTFL Yeah they do look like candy canes, which is why my kids like them so much. It's supposed to be the Italian flag!

A seventies or eighties Supercorsa is the one Italian bike I lust after. I love the chrome Cinelli lugs, the chrome stays, and the distinctive fastback seat stay treatment.

Personally, I wouldn't race on anything that pricey and beautiful. It'll get really beat up for no good reason, and you'll likely not be competitive with it.
I have a rotation of 4 bikes, and I'd place it in the 3rd or 4th slot as far as ride preference. I like the De Rosa better, and the Palo Alto as well. They are my #1/#2 bikes, but that doesn't mean the Cinelli is crap - far from it. It is just what I prefer.
+1. They're stupid-heavy, and they just look wrong on the bike. Mine came with a Brooks B17, and after waiting 700 miles in vain for it to break in I eBaye'd it for a pile of cash and moved on.

I have a GVH sourced Cinelli SC, in China Blue, built with Columbus Neuron tubing. Probably a vintage 2000 - 2002 frame. I paid $1500 for the complete bike, outfitted with Campagnolo 9 speed DT shifting. I sold off all the parts except the wheels and replaced them with a 10 speed ergo group. It is a very pretty, and very nice riding bike. I wouldn't call it crit geometry - it is a comfortable all day riding bike, so I suspect the angles are slacker than the SC's of yesteryear.

I think it depends on the vintage. There was a time when practically every race bike would've had a Brooks. I am gradually trying to break myself into the original Nitor saddle (it certainly isn't going to break in) on my Cinelli because I like the way it looks, but it is about 1,000,000 times less comfortable than any of my Brooks saddles, and I switch it out for centuries and that kind of thing. Here it is with the Brooks, I don't think it looks that out of place:
