Totally by chance. I was looking for mtb frames but more like Stumpjumpers. This thing is ready to go as a touring bike

Yeah,
I have in-line barrel adjusters , so there is a piece of housing between the hanger and adjuster.

Tektro (think that's who I got it from) also sells those cable hangers with the barrel adjusters already in them. I think I got one from Niagaracycle for like $15, but haven't got around to taking it out of the packaging or using it yet.

Definitely the right bike for riding 37 miles in 25 mph winds with 35 mph gusts.

Coming along nicely, Frantik! From this pic, the cane creek levers seem to be way off the bars, maybe not the best solution for the small handed among us? Or is that just the angle of the pic?

it's about 1cm farther out than the brakes on my road bike.. they are closer on the outside than the inside due to the angle of the bars. Cane creek offers a smaller reach version. But the cane creek ones are the same as Tektro R200A, just with lizards on the hoods lol

I dig how this turned out! I've had my '88 Schwinn Cimarron on the wall for years, this makes me want to get it down and build a a drop bar bike! Thanks!

I have an '84 Schwinn High Sierra, the bright yellow one with the rear u-brake... I'm curious what color are your High Sierras and do either of them have the rear u-brake?

Thanks!

Right on! This is exactly what I was thinking about doing with my '88 Cimarron... thanks for the inspiration! Now, I don't have to guess what it will look like!
